The Ultimate Display Technology for a wide variety of Application Areas
PolyDisplay AS owns and develops the unique Electrically Addressable Smectic Liquid Daylight Memory Display (EASL DMD™) technology that enables new Image Display (ID) systems. PolyDisplay is about to enter the market with its first generic ID-products based on the EASL DMD™ technology:


• ID-module for Vindauge™ displays (“see through”
transparent configuration)
• ID-module for PolyDisplay® displays (reflective
configuration)

These products may be adapted to practically any low-speed ID application. Partners and licensees will use PolyDisplay generic products in order to build ID-systems and applications for end users within Public, Private, Automotive, Domotic, and Defence markets.

The objective is to become a leading international supplier of cost-effective ID-modules that offer zero power image storage and outstanding visual performance, replacing LCD and other types of flat panel displays in many market segments and, in addition, opening up new markets.

PolyDisplay is dedicated to provide people, organisations and societies with high quality displays for visual communication, information, management and entertainment. These displays show text or graphic information provided at low cost, low energy consumption in an ergonomic and environmentally friendly way. 

Application examples

The features of the EASL DMD™ technology open up a wide variety of application areas, replacing current display technologies in a number of today’s market segments and opening new market application possibilities. Some examples of possible product and application areas are listed below.



Dynamic road signs – dynamic boards showing symbolic, text, graphical information, e.g. changeable speed limit, detour and road work signs, traffic jam and road condition warnings, etc.

Point Of Sale (POS) displays - large electronic posters and small electronic shelf edge labels (ESL) for advertisement, direction signs, pricing information, items description and special offers announcements in retail sector.

Advertising/information boards – indoor and outdoor public information displays and direction signs in shops, hotels, exhibitions, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, museums, etc.
